Throughout Saturday, the Patrick Centre will be transformed into a playground of drop-in activities and fun workshops suitable for kids of all ages.

Make Your Own Fake News

It's easy to believe the things we see on TV, but this drop-in workshop shows you how simple it is to manipulate the things people say through simple editing. Create and walk away with your own funny 1 minute ‘fake news’ clip - you’ll never look at the media in the same way again. Workshop led by recent BAFTA Scotland award-winning documentary filmmaker Duncan Cowles.

Flipbooks and Optical Toys

Believe it or not Birmingham was the birthplace of the flipbook, and here you can have a bash at creating your own simple hand-drawn animation.

Filmmaking Without Cameras

Scottish director Ross Hogg will show you how to create your own colourful, squiggly animation by drawing, painting and scratching directly onto strips of film.

How Brave is the Wren A retro caravan converted into a magical children's bookshop, parked up in front of the Hippodrome.
