Lisa Gornick's Live Drawing Show
Live drawing and daft anecdotes courtesy of illustrator and story-teller Lisa Gornick.
Illustrator and storyteller Lisa Gornick has a unique style, mixing comedy, pathos, ink, and watercolour to create a lo-fi multimedia experience. Her new show about her Grandma Ray, an East End cockney who sometimes ‘went posh’ and lived her life holding onto a secret. Once discovered, this very same secret, helps her granddaughter to live her life with an enlightened flourish. A witty, personal odyssey combining live art and filmmaking.
During the show, Lisa creates the imagery through live drawing and painting (which is projected onto the screen), whilst narrating the story. It's a new form of storytelling where the film set meets the artist's desk.
Presented in association with Shout Festival.
Part of Film Bug, in partnership with and across Colmore Business District from 20-21 March.
