Lost in Sound (Sunday)

Sunday 24th April, 2016

Birmingham and Midland Institute | 13:00

A programme of shorts united by a preoccupation with music and sound.

United by a preoccupation with music and sound, this programme of shorts opens with Alan Warburton’s wonderful neon-light extravaganza Bach: The Well Tempered Clavier, in which thousands of fluorescent strip lights are synchronised with one of Bach’s studies for piano. Austrian filmmaker Daniel Moshel’s sequel to his bizarre music video Metube 1 sees Elfie and her nerdy son August venture out to the streets for the biggest, brashest operatic flashmob the internet has ever witnessed. And what’s a selection of music shorts without the latest promo from Ok Go? Filmed under zero gravity conditions, on a plane, in the sky, Upside Down & Inside Out sees the American band outdo themselves once again.

This event also takes place on Friday 22nd April at 5pm.

This event is part of the Optical Sound Pass package. Gain entry to all BMI events for £35 Full Price or £28 Concession.
