Dir. Eran Creevy UK 2008, 86 mins

Feat. Riz Ahmed; Daniel Mays; Jason Flemyng

Back in the suburbs where he grew up after a few years away, Chris (Mays) hooks up with school-friend Shifty (Ahmed) and spends the day ‘shadowing’ him as he deals coke and crack around the local housing estate. Steering well clear of melodrama or cliché, this film creates a witty, detailed picture of something which goes on every day in Britain but which rarely gets reflected truthfully in the media. Given a teeny budget as part of the Microwave scheme, debut writer-director Creevy used the money wisely and had the benefit of two brilliant actors in Ahmed (Britz, Dead Set) and Mays (Vera Drake). We hope that Eran Creevy will be at Flatpack to introduce Shifty.
