Silent Night III: Steamboat Bill Jr

Thursday 20th November, 2014

St Philip's Cathedral | 19:00

For the third year we return to the beautiful Birmingham Cathedral for a festive evening of silent film and live music. After his triumph last year with Harold Lloyd’s The Kid Brother we’re again joined by John Sweeney, a talented and versatile pianist who will be accompanying one of Buster Keaton’s finest moments. Steamboat Bill Jr was made on the cusp of the talkie era in 1928, and sees Keaton do battle with a cyclone while pulling off some of his most audacious stunts – including the classic falling facade gag. Included in the ticket price will be complimentary festive canapes, but tickets are going fast, so book yours now to avoid disappointment.

Silent Night is presented in partnership with Colmore Business District. Doors: 7pm. Screening begins at 7.30pm, ending by 9pm.
