Thanks to Cinema For All we’re launching an equipment hire scheme to enable film fans to host their own screenings.
Thinking of setting up a film society, pop-up screening, or community cinema in your area? Already running one, but want to find out what support is available? We can help. Starting your own community cinema or pop-up film-night can be tricky business. Not least of the potential obstacles is the cost of equipment and although the digital revolution has made the buying of good equipment relatively cheap, the potential outlay can still be a barrier.
The Equipment Hire Scheme is designed to get around this obstacle. The kit comprises of: a projector, portable screen, amp, speakers, DVD/Blu-ray player and cabling, everything you need to get started.
How does it work?
- The equipment is loaned out for free to new community cinemas for their first trial screening.
- Thereafter for the first year kit is hired out at £15 per screening for Cinema For All members and £25 per screening for non-members
- From the second year kit is hired out at £30 per screening for Cinema For All members and £50 per screening for non-members
