Flatpack’s recommendations on where to meet, sleep, eat and be merry in the second city:
Places to eat and drink
Homemade South American inspired cuisine – we recommend the nachos…
Buffalo & Rye
Recently opened in the centre of Birmingham, Buffalo & Rye offers burgers, gourmet dogs, house smoked meats and all-day brunch, as well as a great Whisky selection.
The place to be if you’re in the mood for a cocktail – many of the award winning drinks are original creations, and if you don’t fancy what’s on offer, they’re more than happy to mix something up for you.
The Jekyll & Hyde
Gin lovers rejoice – the Jekyll & Hyde is home to a Victorian Gin Parlour, open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and complete with a gin and food fusion menu.
Marmalade offers fresh, homemade food, from brunch to a Sunday roast, and from coffee to cocktails.
A charming theatre pub with loads of character and (apparently) its very own ghost!
Rose Villa Tavern
A classic American style diner menu, in a Grade II listed building built in the early 1900’s.
