CineCov Presents: It's a Wonderful Life (8pm)
Due to popular demand, CineCov have added a second screening (8pm) of the American post-war classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, at London Road Cemetery’s Anglican Chapel in partnership with Historic Coventry Trust.
Nominated for five Oscars, including Best Picture, the film is helmed by cinema legend, Frank Capra, and stars beloved Hollywood everyman, Jimmy Stewart, as George Bailey, a suicidal man who has given up his personal dreams in order to help others in his community.
Loosely based on 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens, George Bailey’s desperation is intervened by his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody, played by Henry Travers.
It’s a Wonderful Life, as the title suggests, is a life affirming classic, with director, Frank Capra, bringing his famed craftsmanship to the screen, combining romance, humour and pathos so beautiful and so memorably, it never fails to warm hearts and inspire love and goodwill.
Staged in this beautiful venue, this is an essential Christmas event, not to be missed!
Feel free to bring a blanket or cushion for extra warmth and comfort.
