Hair Do
For the most part our 68 weekender is steering clear of the obvious 60s cliches, painting a more nuanced and complex picture of the period… but not tonight.
Tonight we embrace oil-wheels, bell-bottoms and flower-power with no shame, taking as our guiding spirit Hair - ‘the American Tribal Love-Rock Musical’ about a diverse sect of New York hippies resisting the draft. In the Mockingbird cinema Milos Forman’s terrific 1979 movie version will screen throughout the night, while out in the bar the Sugarfoot Stomp ladies will delve into their record bags for a suitably groovy soundtrack.
