The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Saturday 16th May, 2026

Birmingham Botanical Gardens | 19:00 - 23:00

Let’s do the Time Warp again!

Equal parts midnight movie, glam rock fever dream and joyful act of cinematic rebellion, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been causing perfectly respectable audiences to lose all composure since 1975. Long may it continue.

When squeaky-clean sweethearts Brad and Janet stumble into the castle of the outrageously charismatic Dr. Frank-N-Furter, what follows is a delirious ride through sci-fi, horror and full-throttle camp, complete with fishnets, floor shows and more iconic songs than should be allowed in one film.

Tim Curry’s performance alone would secure its place in the cult canon, but it’s the film’s anything-goes energy (and devoted fan rituals) that have made it a full-blown phenomenon.

For a one-night-only takeover of the Botanical Gardens, we’re adding a dash of magic and mischief to the open-air screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Before the curtain rises, leave your inhibitions at the door and step into the spotlight at our pre-show Glam Station, where you can transform with bold makeup inspired by the film’s iconic looks, courtesy of face and boy painter Kez Mua (£5 per person). Whether you go full Dr. Frank-N-Furter or create your own outrageous style, we invite you to get dressed up, give yourself over to pleasure, and be unapologetically extra!
