Birmingham’s Film Knight, curated by Roger Shannon (Edge Hill University), examines Balcon’s life and career through a Birmingham lens – from his early filmmaking adventures with Birmingham cinema pioneers, Oscar Deutsch and Victor Saville, to his work at the iconic Ealing Studios.
