CineQ: Queering A Christmas Carol

Tuesday 12th December, 2017

Centrala | 18:30

A Christmas Carol is a seasonal staple of British Christmas Cinema. A moral introspective of human nature, and a changing self, through the lens of past, present, and future. Using ‘A Christmas Carol’ as a starting point, CineQ has created a diverse programme containing F-Rated short films, conceptually linked to past, present, and future in order to analyse where we’ve come from, where we are now, and potentially where we’re going as a community. Meet Ama, a Japanese diver who become the subject of the female gaze. Peer through the archive footage of Lankester Harding and his subjects of desire from his Pathé Baby Cine camera. Or find your own story in the tale of two men meeting on a hook-up app for the first time and the relationship that ensues.

An informal discussion will be encouraged at the end of the programme.
