We talk about those humble beginnings often, but it bears repeating. What started off as a film and mixed media night in a local pub in Digbeth has grown up to include a celebrated international festival, year-round events bringing local communities together and a portfolio of heritage projects exploring the rich history of Birmingham.

We deliver hundreds of events annually, turning all sorts of different spaces into cinemas right across the Midlands. Our annual report outlines highlights and achievements from the last 12 months, including:

• A 25% increase in festival tickets booked
• A record-breaking 12,000+ people attending our outdoor cinema programme
• Establishing Shropshire Independent Cinema, supporting and expanding regional rural cinema
• Supporting 68 young filmmakers and 98 volunteers
• 100% of our audience members rating our events as good or very good.
