Guerilla Green Screen

For this imaginative hands-on workshop Dutch video artist and filmmaker Douwe Dijkstra will be joined by a small group all shooting snippets of footage around the city, looking for opportunities to use and abuse green screen techniques in a playful way.

Dutch filmmaker Douwe Dijkstra has established himself as a green screen genius, evidenced by his fantastic recent shorts Supporting Film (screening in Reflections p.28) and 2014’s Démontable. For this imaginative hands-on workshop participants will be shooting snippets of footage around the city, looking for opportunities to use and abuse green screen techniques in a playful way, followed by a post-production session.

Participants will be required for the full day and a half and the results of the workshop will be screened as part of a short talk Douwe will be giving about his work and techniques as part of Behind the Cameras on Saturday 23rd April at 2pm in The Gas Hall.

Very limited places. Advance booking only, with a £10 deposit. Deposit will be refunded the day after the event, provided that you attend. Knowledge of After Effects and how to use a DSLR are necessary to partake.
