Music documentary engineered by Birmingham's own Punch Records.
How is our creativity shaped by our heritage? This is the question posed by four-part documentary Homelands, an ambitious project from Birmingham’s Punch Records which gave four talented UK musicians the opportunity to visit their countries of origin. The artists featured are: acclaimed grime MC Saskilla (Senegal); RnB Mercury prize nominee Terri Walker (Jamaica); GRM award winning producer Diztortion (Suriname); and RnB MOBO winner singer Shakka (Dominica).
After the film there will be a Q&A hosted by Punch CEO Ammo Talwar, and featuring directors Tara Manandhar, Jaha Brown and MC Saskilla.
