UK retrospective of the inventive and brilliant shorts of Johannes Nyholm

The name Johannes Nyholm may not be instantly familiar, but there’s a reasonable chance you’ve seen the trailer for one of the Swedish director’s shorts: Baby trashes bar in Las Palmas is just shy of 20 million views on youtube, and the film itself won audience awards all over the world. No doubt it helped prepare the ground for his debut feature The Giant, but Las Palmas was preceded by a number of equally inventive and brilliant shorts, and it seems high time to dust them off for a UK retrospective. Screening alongside Las Palmas are his shorts featuring Puppetboy (festival attendees from 2009 may remember this wonderfully vile clay figure), and promos for The Knife and The Tallest Man on Earth.
