With all of the razzmatazz that digital has brought to filmmaking, there’s still nothing quite like the joy of making images move with your bare hands and a few bits of paper. For this drop-in session, early cinema purveyors Mirror Mirror will lead a workshop on how to make and play with optical illusions. From thaumatropes and flipbooks, stereoscopy and games that trick the eye, these techniques will bring out the inner Muybridge in you.

Mirror Mirror will also be leading a Magic Lantern workshop Saturday 23 April 3pm - 5pm.
