Flatpack Festival
Film for all the senses

Sound Bite

Saturday 4th May, 2019

The Mockingbird Cinema - Screen 1 | 14:00 - 15:30

Our annual roundup of phonic-themed short films approaches the subject of audio and music in multifaceted ways.

Some are straight-up promos like the mind-warping Faceshopping by SOPHIE, while others such as Arr. for a Scene explore the world of foley, and Thomas Renoldner's Don't Know What is a sensory treat for both eyes and ears.

The locally-made Resonance is a documentary about artists’ connections with audio, and Getting in a Van Again is the tale of an ‘emotional engineer’ helping to create the perfect music track.

All of the films in this selection are eligible for the Optical Sound Short Film Award which will be awarded on Saturday evening.
