Studio Animators in Conversation

How to make the transition from aspiring bedroom operation to fully-fledged animation business.

In partnership with Animate Projects, we’re joined by BAFTA-award winners Will Anderson Ainslie Henderson (The Making of Longbird), master of mutating mashups Cyriak, Birmingham-based animator Chris Randall and Irish animator and producer Eimhin McNamara for an informal discussion focussing on each of their studios and how to make the transition from aspiring bedroom operation to fully-fledged animation business. Each of the panellists will offer advice on balancing commercial and non-commercial work, the importance of collaborating and working in collectives, and the practical challenges of running your own studio.
