The Awful Truth
Resurrecting a festival tradition, we have joined forces with one of Birmingham's finest restaurants to present a pitch-perfect Wednesday night outing.
Opus will provide the food, in the form of a delicious two-course meal. We will sort out the film, a raucous 1937 screwball comedy that first introduced the Cary Grant persona to the world. Grant and Irene Dunne are a dream couple, raising merry havoc as they embark on divorce proceedings while still clearly crazy about one another. Stealing the show is Mr Smith, an acrobatic fox terrier who gives one of the finest canine performances ever recorded on film.
Seatings for the meal will be staggered, and when booking tickets you will be asked to select a start time between 5:30 and 6:45pm. Ticket price includes food and film but not drinks or 12.5% service charge. Any dietary preferences will be catered for on the night.
This special event is presented in partnership with Colmore Business District.
