No longer the struggling, unappreciated artists that they once were, AI Art Generators have finally hit the big time in 2023 and they have the future of music in their perfectly pixelated crosshairs.

Fearing for their own place in the industry with artificial intelligence also in the mix, dance-pop band YACHT (DFA Records) begin documenting their efforts to collaboratively work alongside said software in the writing process, in the studio and in a live setting. Question is, will the band’s output be enhanced by the tech? Can AI music overcome elitism? Or should we kill it with fire before it gets out of hand? As long as AI never comes for the copywriters and festival programmers, we’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
