This Is The Point
Two programmes of artists' films curated by Mona Casey and Katy Woods.
One of the district’s most recognisable buildings is the red-brick Victorian gothic structure on Margaret St, designed by John Henry Chamberlain (no relation to Joseph) which is home to BCU’s School of Art. During Thursday and Friday, we’ll be screening two programmes of artists’ films that have been curated by Mona Casey (artist, curator and course director for MA Contemporary Curatorial Practice, BCU) and Katy Woods (artist and ESP Coordinator at Eastside Projects). The programmes will play on loop in the lecture theatre and will feature work from current and ex-students from the BA and MA courses at The School of Art, as well as An Endless Supply, Mark Essen, Anne Guest, Michael Lightborne, Jo Masding, Josephine Reichart, Ben Sadler, Adam Smythe and Grace Williams.
This screening is part of Film Bug, a festival within a festival which takes over venues across the Colmore district of the city centre from 14-16 March.
