Dutch A-V artist Zeno van den Broek creates pulsating geometric shapes which collide perfectly with raw electronic textures.

It’s always exciting to bring someone to Flatpack to perform in the UK for the first time, but it’s extra special when it’s someone of Zeno van den Broek’s calibre. Shift Symm is the Dutch artist’s latest audio-visual construction, drawing inspiration from architecture and mathematics to create pulsating geometric shapes which collide perfectly with raw electronic textures. At times reminiscent of Ryoji Ikeda’s work, this is a hypnotic and evocative work-out for eyes and ears.

Preceding Shift Symm is the UK premiere of Pattern Language (10 mins), the latest short film by American Peter Burr, and a Hans Richter short that has inspired much of van den Broek’s oeuvre.

Please note this event contains flashing lights and images.
