A selection of oddities unearthed from the 3D Film Archive.

The fortunes of 3D over the last century have been mixed to say the least, but throughout the ups and downs there have definitely been some winners - many of them now languishing in obscurity. Here we unearth a selection of oddities from the 3D Film Archive, from the controversial anti-atomic testing film Doom Town (mysteriously pulled from cinemas after a few screenings in 1953), to The Adventures of Sam Space, a Puppetoons-style animated short from 1960, with a few surprises in between.

Playing on the theme of expanded dimensions, each of the films will be screened with a live score composed by students at Birmingham Conservatoire, and three will feature new commentaries written and performed live by Graeme Rose, Ed Wakefield and Sarah Hamilton Baker.
