Action Rayz Presents: Desert Hearts

This groundbreaking film was the first feature by Donna Deitch.

Released in 1985 but set in 1950s Nevada, it documents a love story between free-spirited Cay and professor Vivian who’s in Reno to file for divorce. The film is wonderfully evocative of a particular time and place in America and a survivor of the early era of American independent film.
