Action Rayz Presents: Partition

A film about the events surrounding the Indian subcontinent’s division into India and Pakistan and the tumultuous events that surrounded this, involving the uprooting of huge numbers of people.

Director Ken McMullen’s film vividly examines these events through the lens of the division talks and the what was then referred to as a "lunatic asylum" in Lahore. With an experimental approach to casting, the fim sees same actors to play the rulers and inmates of the asylum. A script adapted by the director and Tariq Ali, the doyen of sixties student protest. Staring a stellar cast including Zia Mohyeddin and Saeed Jaffrey.
