Awards Do

Ending our sixteenth edition on a festive note, we invite you to join us in the hub as we hand out this year’s short film awards.

There will be eight winning films across our five competitions, and the categories are:

THE SHORT FILM AWARD
Recognises the most outstanding piece of work across all genres.

THE WTF AWARD
Hails the film which is the most innovative and extraordinary. It recognises vision, boldness, and originality.

THE AUDIENCE AWARD
The crowds’ favourite.

THE OPTICAL SOUND SHORT FILM AWARD
The very best short selected from our music/sound/audio-inspired strand

THE SCREENDANCE AWARD
The best short selected from our strand incorporating dance and movement

THE MID-LENGTH FILM AWARD
The best film over 20 minutes (and under 30)

No red carpet and no dress code - this free event is open to anyone who wants to grab a drink and see some of the best short films of the festival on the big screen!
