Autumn is most definitely upon us (turns heating on), and so too is our second (of three) Colour Box at Home special screenings...

With conkers falling to the ground, and leaves changing colours before our eyes, now is the perfect time to take a closer look at nature, exploring the beauty and wonder of the natural world around us.

That's just what we'll be doing with this month's edition of Colour Box at Home. The programme of short films features the beautiful, award-winning The Last Day of Autumn - a group of animals secretly collect abandoned bike parts to build vehicles for the great race. And the film that took Flatpack Festival’s Colour Box award this year, Whatever Tree - animated entirely outside, the film examines our connection to nature in the age of social media, screens, and selfies as a tree goes viral!

The films will be available for the entire weekend, and all participants will receive a specially made activity book and a box of goodies, from crafty items for making, to your own pebble animal made by the brilliant Ben Sadler. If you missed last month’s edition, read on to see what was in September's activity pack...

What’s in the pack?

Your pack will include an activity book with tasks, experiments, games and more. We like to keep what's in each pack a surprise, but to get an idea of what might be included, here's what was included in the September activity pack:

For the October pack we have worked with the following brilliant artists:

Ben Sadler Tat Vision Sofia Niazi Lewes Herriot Olivia Twist

How does it work?

You will receive your activity pack a couple of days before Saturday 23rd October. The screening itself will be split in two - the first half for ages 3-5, and the second half is geared towards 6+, but there’s nothing to stop you watching it all (and there’s plenty to be enjoyed by adults too!). Guest Colour Box compère Ben Sadler will be guiding you through the films and the activity pack.

The films will be available for 48 hours over the weekend 23/24 October, and you can watch as many times as you like over the course of the weekend. You’ll receive a link to the films via email.

How much are the tickets?
