Tiny but brave Kirikou outwits a powerful sorceress in this enchanting animated adventure, inspired by the folk stories of Senegal. Writer-director Michel Ocelot’s fresh vision of Africa is a world away from Disney’s singing lions and features an authentic soundtrack by Youssou N’Dour.
Before the screening, join us in the Performance Studio for an hour long drop-in workshop lead by artist Roo Dhissou. The workshop will involve making garden tapestries using fabriano paper (replicating the excotic gardens in the film), using various objects including sponges, brushes, and potatoes!
