Creative Cov Film Festival 2022

Sponsored by CineCov, the Creative Cov Film Festival 2022 takes place this summer, showcasing and awarding the best in student films around the city and beyond.

Every year, Finham Park Film Department offers young filmmakers the chance to screen their work in front of industry professionals, to showcase their talents and practise their networking skills.

Past patrons of the festival include Marvel Concept Artists, the Art Director on the Harry Potter franchise, Star Wars and War Horse, Sound Designers from* Baby Driver* and the Coventry-born Director of the Nativity films, Debbie Issit. Their careers have in turn inspired our own film-makers to persue careers in the film industry and win awards of their own, with our very first winner going on to collect a prize at the National Television Society award for Best Documentary.

Since 2017, Finham Park students have been nominated for 16 national student filmmaking awards, with five nominations this year alone.

This year's festival will be staged at The Box, Fargo Village on Friday 15th July. The Festival is sponsored by CineCov and has been organised in conjunction with the Coventry City of Culture.

Students can still submit their work until the 30th June and will be considered for awards in the following categories:

Under 16 - Best Media Product (music video, film clip, TV or marketing promo)

Under 16 - Best film intro or sequence

Under 18 - Best Media Product (music video, TV or marketing promo)

Under 18 - Best Short Film

Entries should be emailed as a link or via We Transfer to fpsmediateacher@gmail.com by Thursday 30th June , when they will be short-listed to go before our judges, among whom are film professionals from Marvel, LucasFilm, the BBC and even an Oscar winner!

Shortlisted entries will be notified by ** 4th July**, with event tickets on sale from that week.
