EL PACTO DE ADRIANA + Discussion

In 2007 the Director’s Aunt Adriana was detained whilst working for the secret police of dictator Pinochet.

Later under democracy she fled the country whilst awaiting trial for the murder of a communist leader. Now, in Australia under the media spotlight the residents request her extradition. Winner of the Berlinale ‘Peace Film’ Award in 2017, this is a deeply personal exploration of the Director’s position in relation to Adriana’s past and present and a quest to find out who Adriana really is.

This screening will be followed by a discussion with director Lissette Orozco and other special guests.
