Film Earlsdon launches its second season of films, an eclectic mix of British gems and compelling international titles. This month's movie is Taika Waititi's 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople'.

Twelve-year-old orphan Ricky Baker is used to moving between one foster parent and another. What he’s not used to is being treated kindly, as he is by his latest step-mum. Bella takes him to her heart. He begins to relax. Until, that is, a tragedy strikes. Ricky’s reaction is to fake suicide and take to the wilderness. A national manhunt follows. But the one who finds him is his hitherto grumpy foster father, Hec. Their ultimate bonding makes for a touching tale of hope against the odds. Julian Denison and Sam Neil star in writer-director Tailka Waititi's comedy adventure.
