We're off to Wales again, with Ghost Box Records and some crazy kids films in tow.

Friday 19th August-Sunday 21st August,

at Glanusk Park near Abergavenny

For four years we've had the pleasure of invading the Green Man Festival's big top cinema, with past highlights including British Sea Power scoring Man of Aran, a rare live set by Bibio and last year Separado with a Gruff Rhys Q&A. This time around we're sharing Friday night with special guests Ghost Box Records...

BELBURY YOUTH CLUB

For one night only the combined talents of Ghost Box will be transplanted from their home village of Belbury, bringing a haunted charabanc full of archive TV, brain-melting projections and beautiful sounds.

7pm: a selection of music documentaries

8.30pm: Ghost Box DJs

9pm: Pye Corner Audio (live)

Sonorous transmissions from PCA’s ‘Head Technician’, who recently released a limited edition cassette run on Further Records.

9.45pm: BYC TV

A selection of Ghost Box shorts, public information films and archive clips to quicken the heart and chill the soul.

11pm: New Summer Wavelengths (dir: Julian House)

The very first screening of a new film from musician/designer/film maker and Ghost Box lynchpin Julian House.

11.30pm: The Shout (dir: Jerzy Skolimowski)

One-of-a-kind British horror from 1978, with Alan Bates as a mysterious stranger who enters the life of radiophonic composer John Hurt and his wife Susannah York.

1am: More Ghost Box DJs

2am: 7 Inch Cinema video disco

The evening closes with various half-remembered musical promos and films you can dance to.

...You can also find us playing family films on Friday afternoon and Saturday/Sunday mornings, including a rare outing on Sunday for creepy German classic The Singing Ringing Tree (dir: Francesco Stefani, 1957), in association with the 8 1/2 Foundation.
