…but I get up again… Yep, we are referring to Chumbawamba’s hit song from twenty-five years ago, but don’t let that put you off.
This film is not about that song, but the untold story of the indie, activist band behind the rowdy anthem (which made Rolling Stones’ ‘Top 20 most annoying songs’ list AND their ‘Top 10 One-Hit Wonders of All Time.’)
Retired middle-aged radical Dunstan Bruce is struggling with the fact that the world seems to be going to hell in a handcart. A kind of punk reimagining of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, this innovative documentary follows Bruce on a quest for his long-lost anarchist mojo (following beratings from the spirit of his altar ego, ‘Babyhead).
Full of humour and amazing archive footage, this is one of the most entertaining music docs we've seen in a long time. And it might just change one or two preconceptions...
