IRIS
Saturday 16th June, 2018
Experience the sound of Birmingham in Erdington with us this summer.
We are delighted to present IRIS by Scott Johannsson once again with our pals at Kingstanding Food Community Project, Chivenor Primary School, Stockland Green History Group and The Polish Expats Association.
Using archive material, semi-improvised electronic music, cut-up voice and field recordings, this 'prepared history' of Erdington native Iris Threadwell will blend personal reminiscence, local history and dramatisation of her storied life and mysterious disappearance.
This performance is part of the Birmingham Public Music Project by for-Wards, an ambitious 2-year music programme which aims to create world-class music working with wonderful communities of Birmingham city. For more information about this project, check out their website!
