Comprised almost entirely of luminously grainy black and white photographs, Chris Marker’s existential time travel short La Jetee is re-scored by LARVA.
Comprised almost entirely of luminously grainy black and white photographs, Chris Marker’s existential time travel short La Jetee is re-scored by LARVA (Ondes Positives Recordings) for analog electronics, tuned percussion, multiple guitars and a new instrument – the Glass Chroma Harp, a variation on the 18th Century Glass Armonica. An instrument which was popular in it’s time with many composers, the Glass Armonica fell into disrepute as it gained a reputation for causing madness in both player and listener. LARVA will follow this with their first ever live set of improvised music and visuals.
