Parallaxe

French collective Nominoë (Nicolas Berthelot, Stephane Courcy di Rosa and Emmanuel Lefrant) team up with Birmingham-based composer and sound artist Annie Mahtani for their multi-16mm-projector and triple screen performance, Parallaxe.

Taking themes of geometry and cinematic space as a starting point, the choreographed projectors roam across the floor beaming out shapes and patterns that are full of colour onto specially-made screens. The projections diffract from gauze onto the surfaces creating a mesmerising effect that deceives the eye and dazzles the mind.
