PechaKucha Birmingham: Wonderland Special

After a pandemic-shaped hiatus PechaKucha Birmingham returns to the city with another enjoyable and mind-bending lineup of guest talks.

Complementing the Wonderland programme, the focus this evening will be on people's cinema stories - think formative experiences in the dark, tales from the projection box, forgotten nuggets from history, or unexpected movie star encounters. Or let us know your own take on intriguing cinematic experiences…we’d love to hear your stories!

A reminder on the rules: You have twenty slides, with twenty seconds per slide. The slides advance automatically. See pechakucha.org for examples of the many PK presentations that have taken place internationally.

This event is part of Wonderland, a new project mapping the city's picture-palaces past and present and exploring the stories associated with them. Wonderland is presented by the Birmingham 2022 Festival, supported by Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, produced by Flatpack Festival.
