Adapted from her prize-winning short of the same name, Swedish director Ninja Thyberg’s Pleasure centres on adult film star wannabe Bella Cherry in this bold and explicit LA porn drama.
Arriving in Los Angeles from a small-town in Sweden, 19 year old Bella Cherry (Sofia Kappel) dreams of becoming the next big thing in the adult porn biz. Bella soon learns that fame doesn’t come easy as she harnesses her ambition and navigates her rise to the top of this mesmerising and frequently exploitative world. In stark contrast to the film’s title, pleasure often comes at a high price and not everyone deserves a happy ending.
