There’s a group of innovative filmmakers who are departing from the forms that have dominated over recent years, and this programme, curated by filmmaker and animation scholar Thomas Renoldner, is a showcase of their work. With a richness of different artistic interests, strategies and techniques, and an undogmatic openness to experimentation and entertainment, these films are not just progressive, but they’re pure fun too.
