Stoke Screen Presents: BELFAST

Stoke Screen Film Club is back for its eighth season, offering audiences another marvellous mix of international titles and Brit-flicks.

Belfast is an Oscar-winning (Best Original Screenplay) British coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. Based on Branagh's own childhood in Belfast, a young boy and his working-class family experience the tumultuous late 1960s as "the troubles" begin. The film is widely praised for its powerful performances, directorial prowess and georgous black and white cinematography.
