Stoke Screen Film Club's Season 5 promises to be an eclectic mix of British gems and compelling international titles.

Shoplifters is a Japanese film directed, written and edited by Hirokazu Kore-eda and is about a family that relies on shoplifting to cope with a life of poverty. This outstanding drama won the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 and has taken its place as one of the great works exploring society.
