Stoke Screen Film Club's Season 5 promises to be an eclectic mix of British gems and compelling international titles.

This critically acclaimed comedy-drama, inspired by director Lulu Wang's own life experience, revolves around a Chinese-American family who, upon learning their grandmother has only a short while left to live, decide not to tell her and schedule a family gathering before she dies.

The film's star, Awkwafina, won a Golden Globe for her central performance while the film itself received a Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.
