Spotlight on Staffordshire

Jyoti Nisha's debut feature documentary Dr. B. R. Ambedkar: Now & Then explores representation and social justice through a Bahujan Feminist gaze.

Bahujan, meaning 'the many' or 'the majority' is a term related to the anti-caste movement.

Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an Indian political leader, jurist, economist and social reformer, revered for his work against the caste system.

At the end of the film screening, for those who would like to take part, there'll be a discussion inviting audience members to share thoughts and talk about the key themes within the film.
