Coventry-Dresden Friendship Festival: The New Babylon

FREE event but please book tickets. Access Information: The event will take place on the first floor of the Litten Tree Building which is accessible by one flight of stairs from the ground floor. There is no lift to either floor and is, therefore, not disabled accessible.
The New Babylon is a 1929 Soviet silent film written and directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg.
The film deals with the 1871 Paris Commune and the events leading to it, and follows the encounter and tragic fate of two lovers separated by the barricades of the Commune. The soundtrack to the film is by Søjus1 from their own score which they most recently performed at the Dresden Silent Film Festival.
