Touch Screen

Flatpack have teamed up with artist Sarah Hamilton Baker to develop touch screen, an inclusive, interactive and sensory film experience, which premiered at last year's Flatpack Festival.

Now featuring as part of the CineCov programme, touch screen is made up of sensory tactile offerings inspired by, and aiming to translate, a selection of short films from Flatpack's Colour Box archive. Creating an entry point that doesn’t just require words and visuals, the translations will explore the senses with the audience being invited to touch, smell, taste, hear and feel their way through the films.

On their journey through the space, audiences will discover a variety of objects and will be led through the experience by Sarah who will guide, play and talk through what to do with each object and when.

touch screen was developed in partnership with the Arts and Wellbeing team at Sense - the national charity for people living with complex disabilities - and art-makers from TouchBase Pears.
