This programme contains flashing imagery, it may not be safe for those with epilepsy and other conditions with sensitivity to light.
While Mockingbird Screen 2 is accessible by wheelchair, there is currently no access to the disabled toilet from this screen.
Each year, we curate a programme of shorts that explore sound, music, and audio in all its frequency glory…
This year’s lineup, all vying for the coveted Optical Sound Short Film Award, features a doc about the forbidden beats in Tehran, following illicit Iranian musicians as they fight for the right to make music; plus one of the best music videos you’ll ever see, made for the group BADBADNOTGOOD.
You’ll also find a whole bunch of films with truly unique soundtracks - including one featuring a dancing chicken by the Midlands’ very own Greg McLeod.
