Choirmaster by day, Halla spends her free time fighting the aluminium industry that pollutes Iceland.
Armed with her bow and her determination, she brings down power lines one by one until one day she finds her crusade jeopardised by some life-changing news.
This second feature by Benedikt Erlingsson (Of Horses and Men) is a clever environmentalist fable, mixing comedy with suspense to paint the portrait of a strong and compelling middle-aged female character (the kind we would like to see more of on the big screen).
A generous crowd-pleaser with substance and style – what more could you ask for?
