When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Long Island, a local sheriff, a marine biologist and a grizzled old sea captain team up to hunt the beast down, engaging in an epic battle of man vs. nature.
The thriller - released in June of 1975 - became the first true summer blockbuster and won three Academy Awards, including one for John Williams’ iconic score.
This al fresco screening will form part of a festival of words and film at Hay Castle, with a programme of talks, workshops and screenings taking place from 23 - 26 August (including an outdoor screening of The Princess Bride on Saturday 24th)
