Directed by Rob Reiner from an endlessly quotable script by William Goldman, The Princess Bride is a fairy-tale classic.
Having charmed legions of fans with its irreverent gags, eccentric ensemble, and dazzling swordplay, it's the perfect film to watch under the stars at the recently restored Hay Castle.
This screening is part of a festival of words and film at the Castle, with a programme of talks, workshops and screenings taking place from 23 - 26 August (including an outdoor screening of Jaws on Sunday 25th)
Visit Hay Castle’s website for more information about the venue and the official website of Hay-on-Wye for accommodation and other places to visit while you’re there (we really love Digeddi Wildlife Camping if you're in a camping/glamping mood).
